The Mark of the Beast and Digital ID

What the text actually says

The mark is about worship
This is the section that keeps a believer sane, so read it twice. Everywhere Revelation describes the mark, worship is standing right next to it. It is never presented as a trick played on people who did not notice.
If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation.

Here is the piece most coverage misses entirely. Long before Revelation, God claimed the hand and the forehead for himself. The counterfeit is a copy, and copies come second.

Revelation 14:1, KJVHand and forehead. Deed and thought. What you do and what you think. God asked for both first, and the beast asks for both in imitation. Once you see the passage that way, the argument stops being about hardware and becomes what it always was, a question of whose name is on you.
The infrastructure question, stated carefully
So what does technology have to do with any of it? Only this: Revelation describes a condition in which one authority can switch off a person's ability to buy and sell. For most of history that was unbuildable. It is buildable now, and the documents below show it being built in the open, for reasons that are usually stated as convenience and security.
None of those records is the mark. Not one. What they are is capability, and capability is worth watching soberly, the way a farmer watches a sky. The show tracks the plumbing and refuses to name the day.
